Zapatero will today meet Uxua Barkos of the Nafarrao Bai closing the first round of meetings to discuss the terms and conditions of peace with ETA. Barkos has announced her intention of supporting Zapatero in his determination bring peace to the Basque region. She will also ask him of the content of the letters sent to him from the Navarre businessmen who's businesses were destroyed by unspecified arsonist last week in an attempt to be reassured that the ceasefire has not been effectively broken.

This will conclude the first round of meetings in which all parties have echoed support for a peace process.
