Average Mortgages up 15.32% in March

The value of Mortgages being taken out on properties has risen by 15.32% for the same period last year. The average value is now 138.537. The information has been published by the INE Spain's state run statistics office.

The statistics show that overall Mortgages have increased by 18% in the last twelve months.

In March over 173000 properties were mortgaged an increase of almost 25% on the numbers of 2005 resulting in a capital expenditure of 165 million euros up 48.17%.

The value of the mortgages among urban areas has increased by 49% . 97 % of cancelled mortgages were from urban areas and only 2.9% from the country.
