The Councillor general in charge of the judiciary is today considering whether the present illness of the Judge in the case of  El Harrak will have an effect upon the present case. Harrak has been in jail awaiting trial for the Madrid bombings in 2003.

A spokesman for the Counsellor Generals office, the CGPJ, Enrique Lopez has denied there are other motives behind the case.

Del Olmo forgot to use his powers to remand the accused into jail pending trial allowing him to be set free on cautions.
