Defendant Denies Role in Train Bombing

One of the alleged masterminds of the train bombing of 2004 in Madrid had denied all the charges presented to him in court.

The bombings which caused disruption and disbelief throughout Spain killed 191 and left 1800 injured. The victims of the bombing have already called for severe sentences to be carried out.

The government is demanding a total of 38,656 years in total for the nine Spanish and twenty Arabs facing charged from possessing dynamite to murder.

All the accessed are Muslims. The first accused is believed to have trained in Afghanistan and then come to Spain in 2003 in order to plot the bombs.
