Barcelona’s Portuguese midfielder, Deco, has spoken about the Champion’s League clash saying “the worst thing about Liverpool is that they have Benitez”. Referring to Liverpool’s manager, Deco said “it appears to me that Benitez deserves a lot of credit. He has reached 3 European finals and won one of them with Liverpool”.

Deco also dismissed the speculation of unrest in the Barca team, following the latest slip-up in the league and head-coach Frank Rijkaard’s public fall out with leading goal-scorer Samuel Eto’o; “if you were to have a vote, 98% would say that they are happy. I have worked with many coaches and [Rijkaard] is the best”. Barcelona are preparing themselves for the first leg of the Champion’s League round two match tomorrow evening.
