Both Mariano Rajoy, the leader of the Spanish opposition PP party and the chairman of his Party Acebes, have announced that there will be a demonstrations across Spain to object to the release of the ETA prisoner Juana de Chaos last week.

Chaos was released for compassionate reasons according to the Government because he was close to death.

On his release he immediately started feeding and is now recovering in the Basque Country.

Last week Acebes denounced the president of the government Zapatero and said he had opened the way for any murderer of 25 people to get out of jail free.

The demonstrations are likely to take place in all the major cities.

The Zapatero government which was elected in 2004 is in mid term.
